Tour of the Venetian vineyards

Tour delle vigne lagunari venezianeAs part of the restoration project of the old walled vineyards of the lagoon of Venice, carried out by the Association Lagoon in the glass, we have created some ecological tours, carried by boat with electric motor (that means zero impact on the environment), in those islands where they are in fact working to bring in activity the ancient vineyards with medieval vines.
The cultural project provides the opportunity to visit these vineyards (at least those already active) and, at the same time, deal with issues related to the delicate ecosystem of the lagoon and its age-old and difficult relationship with the man.
During the visit to the vineyards you are accompanied by an expert and connoisseur of viticultural techniques that explains the peculiarity of these vineyards, their history and systems of production of the wine. Of course you can taste the wine produced locally.
An eco-friendly itinerary, then, to discover a face of the Venice lagoon almost unknown.
At the end of these tours is possible to organize dinners at the island of San Servolo, a place rich in history and charm and not yet ravaged by mass tourism, and therefore perfectly in line with the objectives of the project. If the temperature is not suited to an alfresco dining, we will move to a more suitable place.

The project is organized by “Lagoon in the glass“, “VeniceByMyEye” and “The Other Venice“.
